Find out how Fast & Furious 7 will reach the audience without Paul Walker.
Last November 2013, millions of fans across the world grieved over the sudden death of Paul Walker, one of the major casts in the “Fast & Furious 7.” The award-winning film franchise, which started in 2001, was scheduled to be on the big screen this summer yet no one has thought about this misfortune. As such, there is bewilderment among fans if the film will still be released amidst Walker’s lost.
According to the latest account submitted by state investigators to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, Walker, 40, was with his friend and racing buddy Roger Rodas, 38. They were riding a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT which was in good condition before the tragedy happened. Based on initial statements given by the witnesses, Walker and Rodas left a charity event in a car shop owned by Rodas. This was hosted by Reaching Out Worldwide for the benefits of typhoon Yolanda (known internationally as Haiyan) victims in the Philippines.
The car, however, had a speed of about 80 to 93 mph, which exceeded the maximum speed limit of only 45 mph. As a result, the car hit the light pole and some trees along Valencia’s office park in Santa Clarita, California. The investigators found out that both Walker and Rodas had not influenced by drugs and alcohol. They were also wearing seat belts since both of them have been competing in Redline Time Attacking racing series. Walker left Meadow, his 15-year old daughter.

After months of lamenting, producers of the film met to discuss whether they will push through with the shooting. Some of them chose to cancel it since there is no one to play the character of Brian O’Conner, a secret cop, previously played by Walker. On the other hand, others wanted to go on with the film not only because they have been spending huge amount of money but they also think that this would please the fans and Walker himself.
In addition, producers agreed that Walker’s role will be continued by his very own brothers, Caleb and Cody. This is in contrary with an earlier report that O’Conner will be killed on the scene by means of retiring him on the job. However, the production staff had a difficult time in doing so and this also appeared to be insensitive to Walker’s family and fans.
Aside from Walker, the “Fast & the Furious” also star Vin Diesel; Michelle Rodriguez; Jason Statham; and Dwayne Johnson. The director is James Van. Moreover, Universal Studio decided to release the film on April 10 next year.
